  • i think that it is ruth and walter because she is pregnant and wants to get ride of the baby, and her and walter arent even talking let alone getting along.

  • How do you all do? This book is very interesting and exciting. Anyway, the relationship which seems to be having the roughest time is the one pretaining to Walter and Ruth. They are so messed up right now.

  • Well i am to believe that the relationship having the most trouble is with Mama and Walter Lee Younger… This is because his mama starts to expect him to be more like his father when he finds out that Ruth is wanting to get rid of her new child because they can not afford it and because ruth does not believe that they can handle another one due to walters views on other things. I believe it gets even worse when he just picks up his jacket his keys and leaves as his mama is telling him that he is a desgrace to his father’s memort.

  • The most troubling relationship at the end of act one seems to be the one between Ruth and Walter. There relationship is strained and on top of it all Ruth has a baby on the way and she dose not want to bring it into the world that they live in now. Walter dose not know what to say to Ruth and Mama is putting pressure on Walter from having an abortion.

  • I think the relationship that is having the most trouble at the end of Act 1 is between Walter and Mama. Mama thinks that Walter is being a drunk and has another woman since he can’t find peace in his own home. Walter just wants her to give him money to start his liqour store. Mama tells Walter about Ruth’s baby, and believes he should be a man and help his wife out.

  • The relationship with the most trouble I think is the relationship between Mama, Walter, and Ruth. Mama is mad at both Ruth and Walter for trying to go through with the abortion. Walter is mad at Ruth too.

  • I think that it was the last scene of Act 1 when Walter walks out when he finds his wife is pregnant and she wants an abortion.

  • The relationship in the play that seems to be experiencing the most trouble in act one would be Walter and Ruth. They are a married couple but they act like the despise eachother by arguing non stop and not wanting to talk to eachother about how they feel. In the begining of Act one Ruth and Walter argued the whole morning about Walters dreams and all Ruth wanted him to do was to eat his breakfast.

  • The relationship in the play that seems to be experiencing the most trouble at the end of Act I would be between Walter and Mama.

Walter and Mama go back and fourth with eachother about what is important in life. Mama believes that the most important thing to have is family safety, and religion.

Walter too believes in keeping his family safe but he seems much more wrapped up in money. It seems that his only goal is to become rich and wealthy, rather than being there for his family.

  • The relationship in the play that seems to be experiencing the most trouble by the end of Act 1 is Walter and his mother. because Walters mother begins to wonder if he has a nother woman and his worried about his morals and how he appreciates what she and his father did for him. Also at the end of Act 1 she tries to make him feel guilty about Ruth being pregnant and how he should raise him. Theyre just not getting along.

  • The most trouble trouble by the end of Act I was when Walter did not know that Ruth was having a child and thinking of trying to get rid of the child.

  • Walter and Ruth’s relationship is in the most trouble at the end of Act I. This is because both the two are tired of living the way they do. Ruth is Walter’s wife and they live with their son in Walter’s mothers home with Walter’s sister. Their money is tight and it can be a fustrating experience.

  • I think that Walter & Ruth’s relationship is in the most trouble because, they can never agree on anything. Walter wants to talk about his dreams and Ruth does not want to hear about it. All she wants is to be her own person. She feels as though everyone takes Mama for granted; all Walter and Bene are worried about is the money. THey never just thank Mama for all that she has done for them over the years.

  • I think that Walter Lee & Ruth’s relationship is in the most trouble because Walter is so worried about himself and not spending anytime with his wife, when she needs him the most pretty much, and all he say’s is no ones worried about what he has to say. Ruth is pregnent again and she’s not sure if she wants to keep and it Walter wants he to keep it, but since they dont have the money to pay for the baby. Ruth thinks that everyone takes Mama for granted, because she got that big check coming in for $10,000,000.

  • Walter and Ruths relationship is not doing to well,Walter is upset because Ruth does not really want him to have a liquor store, Walter is leaving and going out and says that he will talk to Ruth later.

  • By the end of Act I, I feel that the relationship between Mama and Bennie is experiencing the most trouble. I feel this because when Mama slapped Bennie on pg.51.

Ruth thinks that everyone takes Mama for granted, because she got that big check coming in for $10,000.

  • The relationship that seems to be experiencing the most trouble in by the end of act 1 is Mama and Walter, and Ruth and walter.Walter found out Ruth was pregnant and she wanted to get an abortion she put money down so it can be done so Mama was mad at walter because it seemed as though walter could careless because he did not say anything about Ruth trying to get the abortion. Mama was really mad because her and Mr.walter sorter experienced something similar to that and Mr.Walter was angry and mad at that situation so That’s why Mama was upset that Walter did not have nothing to say about it.

  • I think that Beneatha’s relationship with Mama is the most troubled because of their disagreement over religion. This is because Mama is very religious and does not want Beneatha to denounce God.

  • By the end of Act I, I think that Walter and Ruth’s relationship is having the most problems. This is because Ruth was trying to tell Walter about her being pregnant, and he just didn’t want to hear it. Also, he isn’t really caring too much about his family, and more about the check that is coming in the mail for mama, and all of his dreams of what he wants to do with that money.

  • I think that ruth and walter because at the end of act 1 walter found out that he had another child on the way and he never knew until his own mother said something about it.

  • At the end of act 1 Walter and Ruths relationship isn’t turning out so well walter is to worryed about money. And not so intrested in the baby that Ruth is carrying.

  • Walter and Ruth’s relationship is doing the worst rite now. Walter wants her to keep the baby and Ruth wants to have a abortion. They haven’t been seeing eye to eye really since we first started the book.

  • I believe that the relationship having the most trouble by the end of Act 1 would be between Walter and Ruth. Walter seems to only care about investing into the liquor store while Ruth would rather him not use the money for that reason. Another reason they are having the most issues is because Ruth is pregnant but she doesn’t want to bring another child into the world and deal with the poverty. There would be poverty because if Walter wants to use Mama’s check for his own selfish reasons, it could lead into the seperation of the Younger family.

  • I think that Ruth and Walters reltionship struggles the most because right now they have different point if views about thow they want to live their life and they are also struggling with the decision on the new baby.

  • The relationship I think struggles the most is Mama and Beneatha. I say this because in act one they went through some changes. Especially when Beneatha was running off at the mouth, and Mama slapped her in the face. I knew right there that they had some difficulties in their mother and daughter relationship. I think mama and Beneatha go at it alot because Beneatha is the only girl, who has a smart mouth, and goea against mamas beliefs and feelings. Also Beneatha wishes she could take Travis place. He’s the youngest so what Beneatha needs to understand is that Mama love all thekids equaly, but Travis just gets more attention cause he is the youngest.

  • There are probably two relationships that are struggling the most. The relationship between Mama and Beneatha, from what it seems, is not the way Mama would want it to be. Beneatha does not really respect the way Mama feels about God, and Beneatha is not keeping her thoughts to herself which makes Mama very mad. Since Beneatha is doing this in a disrespectable manner, Mama gets up and slaps her daughter right across the face. (pg. 51) The second relationship that is struggling is the one between Walter and Ruth. Walter is not listening to his wife when she is trying to tell him about the new baby. (pg. 71)She is wanting to go on a walk with him, and he refuses to let her come with him.

  • I feel that the relationship that has the most trouble in the First Act is between Mama and Walter. They have completely different views on life in general. For example, Walter cares too much about money, while Mama feels religion and family should be the number one priority in her household. Also, Mama wants Ruth to keep the baby, and feels Walter should step up and be a man in this situation. (pg. 74).

  • I think the most troubled relationship in the end of act I is Walter and Mama because it seems like Walter is focused on his family and his money. While Mama is focused on her family, her family’s safety and her religion. Mama is mad at Walter and Ruth for trying to go threw with the abortion because they do not think they can support this new child, but Mama is against abortion and does not want the abortion to happen.

  • Hiya everybody, I just registered on this splendid community and wished to say hiya! Have a stunning day!

  • I think that ruth and walter because at the end of act 1 walter found out that he had another child on the way and he never knew until his own mother said something about it.
