Speak is a great book but so... Under. Under your level I'm a sixth grader (11 years of age) and have read speak 4 times and in 4th grade. speak talks about sooo much that teens go through and if it is adequate for your level you may read it but in my opion I think you should read somethingh more complex and on your level.

the book i think everyone should read is To give a boy a gun. this book is real and it makes you think, also it shows the truth about bullying, and how serious it is. i think you will look back at yourself and think before you act toward someone. i did.

Thanks for your comments, Sue.
Believe it or not, boys do enjoy this story. The secret is getting them to relate to the feeling of being an outsider. I also try to get boys to identify with their own sisters or cousins. We talk about several issues mentioned in the story.

The book I would recommend would be "Twilight" by "Stephenie Meyer" because it's a great book about a vampire who falls in love with a who isn't a vampire. My firend recommended it to me and I thought it was going to be boring but it was great.

The book I would recommend for the coming freshman’s next year is Looking for Alaska. I would recommend this book because it is very inspiring and interesting.
Looking for Alaska talks about love and live. A boy named miles goes to a boarding school and meets these people who easily influences him to drink smoke and do pranks that are not good. Alaska is known for pranking and never getting caught. But when she went out one-day drunk she hit a parked police car and died. Now the colonel and miles and all the rest of Alaska's friend are trying to figure out did she do it purposely or was it a mistake. They learned from their mistakes but in memorial of Alaska they did the biggest prank ever. This book is a very good book for the 9th graders coming next year!

The book that I would have to recommend for ninth graders to read would have to be “Looking For Alaska”. The reason why I would recommend this book be because I read it for a class project and I thought that it was really good and really interesting and cheap me think throughout the book. The reason why I thought that it was interesting is because some of the ways that they would act kind a reminded me of a couple of my friends and I when we go and hang out and mess around but we don’t do drug like them.

The book that I will recommend is called “Blood Valley” by William W. Johnstone. I would recommend this book because if you like books that have to do with the west and gun violence you would like this book. I read this book and each page kept me in shock. On almost every page there was some form of fighting whether it is fist fighting, gun fighting, and trash talking the book had it all. The book had person vs. person, person vs. society, and person vs. self conflicts in it which made it really interesting. It’s a good book so read it.
