1. I think the purpose of homework is so that if you are having trouble on it you can go home and get help from your parents or you can study for a test coming up.
2. Yes I do think that homework meets that purpose because it does help me when I dont understand something we learned in class.
3. I do my homework because I want to get good grades and I do it before I go to bed because I have dance every night after school.

1. The purpose of homework is to keep your brain going all day.
2. I don’t think homework has ever helped me with that.
3. Mainly because I would like a consistently good grade in school, and homework is a big part of that.
4. I sometimes do not do my homework is because it seems so big because we did not do anything in class, and it is usually boring, and sometimes the teachers don’t even check it.
5. I would have 1-2 homework assignments each week with 2 days for each one, with no weekend or holiday break assignments. Also not to many large projects, or more time to do them, and talk to other teachers to make sure you are not assigning projects or large homework pieces at the same time. Also we should get a few minutes at the end of class to start the homework, and that we should do most of the hardest parts in class and the easy stuff at home.

1. I believe that the purpose for the homework is to give students the chance to have more time to do the homework instead of just having one day to complete it.

2.I think that homework does remind you of what you learned in class because the homework is about what you did in class.

The pupose of homework is to challenge students with practice on class subjects, or to finish assignments that could not be completed in class. I think that homework often accomplishes it’s purpose, but it can sometimes be daunting or difficult, especially if you have not had enough practice at school with the teacher present. I do my homework because it shows responsibility, but I do not want a bad grade, either. I sometimes do not do my homework because either I forget, or I am too occupied with other more difficult assignments, or I am procrastinating using video games or television. If I could change homework in any way without negating it completely, I would make assignments longer, but have them assigned more sparingly. Also I would change the class time by putting more of an emphasis on class work than lectues.

allow you to review the work you did in class by it reviewing at home .
2.Do you think homework does this? In many ways I do think that homework allows you to review everything from class because sometimes
it is easy .
3.why do you do homework when you do it? I do homework in chunks at a time so that i won’t get as bored and score low on a paper that I know i can score high on.

the fact that it is too much and half the time it is not a review from school and majority of the time you don’t get it so you don’t do it until it’s due then when you ask the teacher about it,she or he doesn’t have time to answer your question so when you do get it is too late to complete.Or the reason why don’t do your homework is because your lazy.
5.if you could change homework,how would you change it?I would change it in a way of only having homework 2 or 3 times a week and the rest of the days to review.

1. The purpose of homework is for children to see if they know how to do the work that they learned in school recently.
2. I dont always think homework does that because mostly children go around asking their friends to copy their homework and if they copied their homework then how is the teach supposed to know if they know how to do their work!
3. The reason why I only do homework is because I know how to do the work and it wont take me forever to do it.
4. I dont do homework because usualy I want to go outside with my friends and have fun, or watch t.v, or I have to do chores I want to finish, etc. Another reason why I dont do homework all the time is because I dont understand it and I dont feel like taking forever to do it!
5. If I could change homework I would change it to that we dont have to do it every night, and we could choose to do anything that we learned in class that day and if we didnt do any work for homework its incomplete, but atleast they did some work to show that they understand it.

2. I think homework does help the students review the work the did in class and it helps them understand more.
3. I do homework as soon as I get home because I want to get it over and done with.
4. Sometimes I have to babysit and then other times I just don’t have the energy to do it because we get up so early so we can go to school. Also, kids could have practice for a sport. Which is important to them because if it wasn’t them they be in it. And if they miss a practice they they can’t play the sport at the next game, so most kids go to practice instead of diing homework.
5. If i could change homework I would make it so that we don’t have homework every night. And when we do have homework then it will be only 1 or 2 pages.

I think homework is to help review what you learned in class. I also think that it is extra pratice so you can get a idea of what you are working on in class.

Yes. I think homework does this. I think it helps me remeber what I did in class, and give me extra time to go over what I don’t understand. It helps me understand what I learned in class.
3- Why do you do homework when you do it?
I do homework to help keep my grade up. It also helps me prepare for a upcoming test.
4- What keeps you from doing homework?
What keeps me from not doing my homework is the amount. Sometimes i have so much homework, I just don’t have enough time to finish it in time. I also play sports, so that also effects my homework.
5- If you could change homework, how would you change it?
If I could change homework, I would change the amount of homework. Sometimes we have so much homework, and we have to bring a lot of books home. I would change it by not making us do homework over the weekend, or over the holiday. I would also change it to make us having it only on a certain day of the week, and not eveyday.

1. The purpose of homework is to have a refresher of what you learned in that class. They give it to you so you can remember what you worked on, and sometimesits to connect what you leaned to do something you haven’t learned yet.
2. I think homework does help to some degree, but sometimes people forget what was taught or how to complete it, and then there grade will decrease because of this.
3. I do homework when i get home from school that way later on when I want to be on the computer or something i dont have to worry about being tired and not being able to finish my homework because it will already be completed.
4. Sometimes talking on the phone or doing cheerleading after school prevents me from doing my homework because i forget about it by the time i am off the phone or back home froom cheerleading.

I think the purpose of homework is to follow up on what was taught in the classroom that day so that you can get a chance to practice what you have learned instead of going home and becoming a couch potato for the rest of the evening. No, I don’t think homework does this because kids have learned to just procrastinate until it’s too late to do the homework themselves, and then they just copy others’ homework or write the answers down as the teacher explains them, if the teacher goes over homework in class. I generally try to do my homework so that I can get good grades, because that is what my parents have come to expect of me and I don’t want to let them down. I know that sounds cheesy, but for me it’s the truth. Also, the career that I am thinking about pursuing requires good grades to get in the career, and I plan on getting in. The biggest thing that keeps me from doing my homework is the computer, because of email and games and the Internet. Also, the TV and my sisters keep me from doing my homework. My sisters especially, because they are very annoying.

Homework Reflection
[ 1 ] I think the purpose of homework is to learn more about the subject that you are doing. Also I think it is a form of practice because if you have a quiz or a test coming up then you know what you need to study and you know how to study.
[ 2 ] Yes I do, but it depends on who does the homeowork. If people who don’t care about their grades and just don’t feel like doing homework then it is not going to help them in the future. Personally, I get my homework done when it needs to be because it bothers me that it is not done and it helps me with my tests, quizes, and other things.
[ 3 ] I do my homework all the time because I feel guilty if it is not done and it seems like I’m hiding something. But when I get it done, it feels like it’s been lifted off my chest and I know that I’ve accomplished something .
[ 4 ] Pretty much the only thing that keeps me from doing my homework is my surroundings. That includes phone, computer, and friends. If someone calls me then i totally forget about my homework and just start talking on the phone and it really bothers me. Sometimes i have to tell ther person that I am talking to that i have to go and I sometimes forget to call them back and they get mad but as long as i have my homework done then it is ok.
[ 5 ] If I could change homework in any way, I would have to say we only have so many assignments in a month. Such as if we were to have math homework and it was a bunch of it then we could have like a test every Friday and have all the homework due at the end of the month. Another option is we could have only about 2 big assignments each month. We could have an assignment or two every month and we could get into groups and go over your partners house and help them work on the assignment. Then it could just be ne big final grade at the end of the month.

2.)Homework does show this. For me personally I sometimes teach myself what is going on if i didn’t understand it in class.
3.)The reason why I do my homework when I do it is beacause the assignment helps your grade first off and second it means that I understand what I learned. When I don’t do my homework it is because I don’t understand what is going on.
4.)Things that keep me from doing homework is laziness and misunderstanding.
5.)If I could change homework it would be that we(the students) don’t have homework everyday in every class. I think that if we have homework on certain days, we will be able to focus more on a particular subject.This also cuts down on the students not doing their homework.

1-The purpose of having homework is to help us keep working on what we learned in class and kind of review what we learned in class. Also homework keeps ourbrain zoned on the classes topic. It also saves the teacher time in class from reviewing what we did yesterday in class.
2-I think it does. I remeber what we talked about in class. Like when we had to find and identify the figuartive language help me review the classwork and prepare for test.
3-I TRY to do it as soon as I get home because that gives me the rest of the day free without worring about time for homework. If I come home and start hanging with my friends, I’ll look at the clock and relize it’s 8:00, and then I’m rusjing through it since it’s almost bedtime.
4-What keeps me from doing my homework is band practice @ 5:30 to 8:00. Then when earbook starts then I only have about an hour inbetween.
5-All I would change to homework is dn’t give us more than 2 papers top. Keep it pretty easy but enough for review, so far all you gave is 1 worksheet or 1 question to answer which I think is fine.

1-The purpose of homework is to see where a student really is as far as knowing what is goin on beacuse in class you can ask for the teachers help or see what a classmate has on thier work.
2-Yes i believe homework meets this purpose because if I don’t understand what is going on when I am doing my homework I will tell the teacher that i need help the next day but if we didn’t have homework I would have never said something like that.
3-I do my homework because it is a part of your final grade and if you do not do it your percentage could get dropped a whole letter grade.
4-Things that keep me from doing my homework is not knowing what is going on, the computer, the phone, my friends, and fun in general.
5-If I could change homework I would make it more fun by using games and puzzles. I would make the homework shorter, too because i have no free time once I am finished.

i think the purpose of homework is to learn not just at school but also at home. So parents know what you are upto in school. Yes homewok meets this purpose because my parents are always asking what do i have for homework that night also if you are lying parents always have ways of finding out if you were lieing or not. I do homework because i have nothing better to do and also i am not involved in any sports at this time but a aslo Would do it even if i was involved in any sports. Not writing the homework down or even saying i didn’t know i had homework in that class. What i would do to get rid of homework is that i would either do it in school or even just going to the principle about that subject.

3. I do homework because it counts towards my grade. Also, you won’t have to worry about getting in trouble or doing it during homeroom or class.

1) I think that the purpose of homework is for the students to be able to retain the knowledge that they learned in that class for that day, or just to review.
2) I do not think that homework helps you reatain that knowledge. I don’t. Some people still don’t even understand the homework they were assigned.
3) I do homework when I do it, because a) I either have to do it right when I get home before I do anything fun. Or b)I can wait until later that night when I only have homework that will take me 5 minutes or less to do.
4) I think that something that keeps me from Homework is my family and friends. And the internet does to. What used to keep me from homework was my “volunteer work” every wednesday which was at my church and was called AWANA. And I hope that I can continue.
5) If I could change homework without taking it completely away, I would make it a lot less harder and I would make a LOT less of it!

The reason that I do my homework is because I want to get a good grade, I know that the teacher will check it the next day, and because sometimes it kind of helps me to understand what we did in class better. This is because since I have extra time at home, I can take my time and reread and get a better understanding of some things.

1. THE PURPOSE OF DURING HOMEWORK IS TO KNOW HOW WELL THE STUDENT IS LEARNING IN THE CLASS AND IF HE OR SHE IS PRACTICING ON THE LESSON THAT THEY LEARNED WHICH WILL HELP THEM IMPROVE.AND ALSO TO REVIEW WHAT WAS LEARNED THAT DAY IN CLASS SO YOU CAN GET A BETTER KNOWLEDGE OF WHAT YOU WERE LEARNING.
2.YES I DO BELIVE HOMEWORK MEETS THE STANDARDS BECAUSE IF DONT UNDERSTAND SOMETHING IN SCHOOL THAT DAY AFTER SCHOOL WHEN IT’S TIME FOR ME TO DO MY HOMEWORK IT GIVES ME A BETTER UNDERSATNDING OF THE LESSON AND HELPS ME.
3.THE REASON WHY I DO MY HOMEWORK WHEN I DO IT IS BECAUSE I WANT A GOOD GRADE IN THAT CLASS AND HOMEWORK HELPS MY GRADE OUT A WHOLE LOT.AND ALSO I DONT WANT TO HEAR MY MOTHER ABOUT WHY I DIDNT DO MY HOMEWORK WHEN I MY FINAL GRADE COMES OUT.
4.THE THINGS THAT KEEP ME FROM MY DOING MY HOMEWORK MOST OF THE TIME IS MY CELLPHONE,TV,COMPUTER,PEOPLE COMING TO MY HOUSE, ND MY FRIENDS ALL THESE THINGS DISTRACT ME WHEN IT’S TIME FOR ME TO DO MY HOMEWORK.
5.IF I COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT HOMEWORK IT WOULD BE TO MAKE IT MORE INTERESTING THAT WOULD MAKE IT FUN WHILE YOUR DOING IT. AND I WOULD ALWAYS CHANGE THAT THERES LESS HOMEWORK.
